SYNOPSIS

Mason Michaels is a world famous rock star. He has a one year old daughter he dotes on, but as a single dad, he's always relied on help. When his best friend passes away and leaves him with a new baby to take care of, he needs to hire help and quick. Setting up interviews with an agency and looking for an au pair who isn’t blown away by his looks or his fame, he finds that most girls, when they find out who he is, are only interested in the job because they want to be a Maria. Then Amber walks in and he notices her straight away. She is gorgeous, sweet and funny and doesn’t seem fazed by him, which turns him on.

Amber was looking for work because her dad cut her off for losing her job. She also just split with her fiancé and was staying with her best friend, Ellis, but she needed to find somewhere to stay. As soon as she sees Mason, she knows who he is, but since Lexa, Ellis’s sister set up the interview, she had to stay.

Mason wanted Amber the moment he saw her, but he knew he couldn’t have her and it only made him want her more. He had a lot to deal with, what with taking over the company he part owned and the bands he was managing. He needed someone he could trust and after some initial reticence, he knew Amber was the person.

As she moved in, he began to fall for her and when he was hurt in the office his first text was sent to Amber. As their relationship developed, so did the drama and danger came from the most unlikely places, causing them both to fear for their lives as they battled against an unseen foe to survive.
